About the Class

Fused glass or kiln formed glass is a technique used by many artists around the world. Colorful pieces of glass are fused together in a kiln rendering a solid, beautiful glass art piece. These are both functional and decorative.

For this process, students will select glass for the top and base of the project with up to 10 grams of our beautiful selection of Dichroic glass. Dichroic glass has stunning optical properties. "Dichroic" is defined as the property of having more than one color when viewed from different angles or from transmitted reflected light.

During this class, you will learn the basic techniques for cutting, fusing and creating beautiful art objects. Students will be making a 4.25" glass tile, and a medium size pendant.
